>INGREDIENTS>
π«1, 8oz bag Deglet Noor pitted/unsweetened dates.
π«1 1/2 tbsp cacao(more/less depending on how chocolatey you want it... I suggest sampling dough as you make them to make sure they taste the way you want.)
π«1/4 tsp salt
π«1/4 cup shredded/unsweetened coconut.
π«1/4 cup of pulsed almonds
π«Cacao nibs(or chocolate chip sub of choice) for toppings
>{HOW-TO}>
ππ»Pulse almonds in blender them set them
aside in a bowl with the coconut for later.
ππ»Pour dates, cacao, and salt into blender and pulse/blend until a clump of dough forms.
ππ»Place dough along with other ingredients into mixing bowl ; use your hands to make sure everything gets evenly mixed together.
ππ»Place mixture into a granola bar mold or a bread pan if you don’t have one.
ππ»Partially press cacao nibs/choc chips into bars.
ππ»Place them in the freezer for 20-30 minutes, take out and enjoy! I leave mine in the freezer, because they never fully harden.
⚠️SIDE π NOTES π:⚠️
• I think a tbsp or two of a nut butter would be a great addition to this recipe, even a tbsp of coconut oil wouldn’t hurt. I personally TRY AND STAY AWAY FROM PROCESSED OILS WHICH IS WHY I didn’t add those myself.
