What we did for Easter (family pictures included) + a recipe!

We had a wonderful Easter that was spent with family!

John Everett doesn't like smiling for pictures!

I made homemade Rice Krispie Treats for the first time this week.
They are a favorite of my husband's!

I brought some to the family gatherings & they were a hit
(or at least that's what I was told haha).

Caught a smile!

I was determined to get a family picture after Easter mass, but
JE wasn't having it!

I hope you all had a beautiful Easter as well! A day spent with family is always a GOOD day. I will put the Rice Krispies recipe below for anyone who may want to try it. Have a blessed week!

Homemade Rice Krispie Treats

  • 6 cups of rice krispies cereal
  • 4 cups of miniature marshmallows
  • 3 TBSP of butter
  • 1 & 1/2 cups of white chocolate chips (optional)

***DIRECTIONS***

  • Melt butter and marshmallows on stove.
  • Add in rice krispies cereal and stir until coated.
  • Spread mixture in pan (I didn't grease my pan and the rice krispies didn't stick when I removed them after they sat in fridge for 5-10 minutes..parchment paper is always optional).
  • Put parchment paper on top of rice krispie mixture once it is in pan & use a book(optional) to flatten/consolidate the mixture.
  • Stick in fridge for 10-15 minutes.
  • Melt white chocolate chips in microwave for 1-2 minutes, stopping every 30 seconds to stir them.
  • Once desired consistency is reached, pour white chocolate on top of rice krispies and put them back into fridge for 10 minutes.
  • Take pan out of fridge, cut and enjoy!
